About this deck

• This is an Enchantress deck. The main theme is playing a lot of enchantments with all the enchantresses: Argothian Enchantress, Verduran Enchantress, Mesa Enchantress, Eidolon of Blossoms, Enchantress's Presence, and Femeref Enchantress.

• The second theme is Pillow Fort. This is the best strategy for a heavy enchantment deck. Due to our lack of creatures, we aren't an aggressive deck, we need to defend ourself against opportunity attacks. Enchantments provide a lot of Propaganda-like effects.

• The last theme is Group Hug. This is best paired with Pillow Fort to enhance our peaceful relationships with our opponents. This deck isn't full focused on Group Hug, just enough to give a bit of gas to our opponents.

My commander's choice went on Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis: They bring to allow playing all the enchantresses; for card draw and support; and for some big killing spells. They also have a built-in Group Hug ability and have a huge toughness that fits perfectly my Pillow Fort strategy.

The Pillow Fort package

• Authority of the Consuls: Block surprise attacks, great life source and put in danger your opponents while also giving them an advantage to attack them each other.
• Blind Obedience: See above. !flexspot
• Wall of Shards: Pet card of mine, extremely group hug. !flexspot
• Propaganda: Strong pillow fort effect.
• Ghostly Prison: Strong pillow fort effect.
• Sphere of Safety: Stronger pillow fort effect.
• Solitary Confinement: Strongest pillow fort effect. We play a lot of card-draw options that don't occur during the draw phase because of this enchantment. (no Howling Mine for this reason.)

Other protections

• Academy Rector: A dangerous enchantment tutor. He is some kind of attack deterrent.
• Torpor Orb: Shuts down the vast majority of card-advantage effects in commander. Protects us against Bane of Progress &Cie. We play only one ETB creature (Skullwinder) so we are almost immune to Torpor Orb.
• Karmic Justice: Removal deterrent. Can target opponent's lands to punish them for their act of treason.
• Shroud giving enchantments like Greater Auramancy and Sterling Grove.
• Copying protection enchantments with Copy Enchantment and Clever Impersonator.

How to win with this deck?

By being patient. Watch the world burn, let them kill each other and finish the last exhausted opponent yourself.

• Luminarch Ascension: Very good with our Pillow Fort strategy. Don't play this on 1st turns or you will become the prime target.
• Sigil of the Empty Throne: This can create a lot of 4/4 angel tokens in combination with some enchantresses and cheap enchantments.
• Fevered Visions: Bad Hug AND Wincon, amazing.
• Vicious Shadows: We help our opponents to draw gas, let them regret this by bringing the lucifer matchstick.
• Insurrection: 1-card wincon. We don't play a lot of wrath effect because of this.
• Reins of Power: see above.

Additional notes

• Standstill: Remember, the card says "Each of that player's opponents draws 3". Hug!

• You may spare up to 500$ with a cheaper manabase: use trilands from Alara/Tarkir, checklands and painlands instead of fetchlands, dual lands and shocklands.

• +Omniscience, −Telepathy: If you manage to put Omniscience onto the battlefield (through Academy Rector or Replenish) with 2+ Enchantresses, it's almost an instant win.
• +Faith's Fetters, −Imprisoned in the Moon: Fetters are better.
• +Teferi's Protection, −Detention Sphere: One less removal for an extra great protection card.
• +Disrupt Decorum, −Grasp of Fate: !testing One less removal (needed in another deck) for testing the goat-everyone-card.
• +Sunbird's Invocation, −Blind Obedience: !testing Cascade for all your spells? This deserve a test.

• +Imprisoned in the Moon, −Faith's Fetters: !testing Future plays will tell us if losing the lifegain and the range of action worth 1 mana less.
• +Flickering Ward, −Gisela, Blade of Goldnight: Flickering Ward is an incredibly powerful hidden gem I discovered while playing my Sram, Senior Edificer deck, and it fits really well here with all our Enchantresses. Gisela, a timmy card, was cut for it.

17-07-19: AKH-HOU Updates

• Starfield of Nyx → Crystal Chimes: It's common that Starfield stays in my hand because I don't want to animate my enchantments. Replaced it with Crystal Chimes as it was mainly a Recursion slot.
• Exploration → Mirari's Wake: New addition, and I need Exploration in another deck.
• Dovescape → Dance of Many → Gift of Immortality: !testing Dovescape is underperforming here. It's best played with Enduring Ideal. Testing Dance of Many (because it's a enchantment-based clone, fits the theme) but proved too color hungry. Now testing Gift of Immortality to protect one of our Enchantresses or Kynaios.
• ??? → Weirding Wood: !testing Can't remember what was removed for it.
• Nature's Lore → Carpet of Flowers: Enchantment-based efficient ramp takes a ramp slot.
• Plains → Rainbow Vale: Hug land. Fits the theme.

17-02-13: More hugs update

• Veteran Explorer over ↷ Overgrowth: Veteran hugs better and fixes colors better.
• Rites of Flourishing over ↷ Tempt with Discovery: Sometimes Tempt doesn't work as intended because other players already have a lot of lands, thanks to Kynaios.
• Selvala, Explorer Returned over ↷ Horn of Greed: Selvala does way more than Horn: She draws, adds mana and gains you some life! For everyone! Sign me up!
• Telepathy over ↷ Leyline of Anticipation: I prefer to anticipate differently. !testing
