Enchantment (1)

Creature (1)

Budget Insect/Spider Tribal. The current draft of the deck has been re-designed around mill and recursion.

As a Commander, Thantis serves two functions: 1) a win condition as a double-edged beater that often forces opponents into vulnerable positions, and 2) a means to force the mass death of creatures, fueling the deck's recursion strategy.

Birthing Pod acts as the vital lynchpin of the deck, allowing one to quickly and cheaply creatures as needed, allowing some flexibility in board building.

Grist, the Hunger Tide and several mill-search cards (eg. Grisly Salvage), alongside 1/1 insect token productions cards (namely Ant Queen, Dragonlair Spider and Grist) with Skullclamp, fuel means to get to Conduit of Worlds and Phyrexian Reclamation, which are the primary means to recur the deck's core components.

Lolth, Spider Queen creates one of the deck's core win conditions, benefitting from the death of tokens through sacrifice or battle. Shelob, Child of Ungoliant with any combination of spider-spawning cards acts as another central win condition. Generally, the deck aims to slowly overwhelm the opponent with its larger creatures (such as Thantis and Giant Adephage) and death touch.
