The first time I've tried building a deck without just copying someone else.

Maelstromhobo's excellent Mayael EDH Primer refer's to Mayael as the commander of choice for someone whose artistic medium of choice is crayons. Due to that primer as being the inspiration and guidance for me finally building this deck, I've made an homage with the title.

Onto the guts of the matter. This is pretty budget obviously. I wouldn't really want to put more than 100 more dollars into it, as that would bust my wallet and be over powered for my play group, but suggest away.

The mana base is thrown together from what I had, and it's worked surprisingly well for what it is. That's probably where I'd like to upgrade first.

The creatures are what I love about this. They all are interesting and interact different every game. I don't really have any other fatties I could put in on hand. Avacyn, Angel of Hope, and a couple others are prime for adding, but not in the budget for now.

Enchantments are ramp and Aspect of Mongoose as a way to protect Mayael. Also an alternate win con in Mayael's Aria. I don't like it, because it feels cheap. I'll probably take it out when I get the deck running smoother.

Sorceries are more ramp and removal.

A couple instants that work as removal with my fatties.

The artifacts are ramp and a couple of rampy things, some deck manipulation. If I use Crystal Ball and don't hit a creature, if I put both on bottom, I'm nearly guaranteed to hit one.

In closing, it's fun to play, and a better fit for multiplayer than my jank Masochist Marath. Thanks for reading, and please suggest.
