This deck is part of my project to build an EDH deck for each color combination. Black has always been my favorite color in Magic, and I chose Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief as she is effective in control strategies (as she has a removal ability) and can also go for lethal commander damage after taking out opposing flyers (or utility creatures, or whatever irks you at the moment). Avacyn? Gods (with devotion active)? Not a problem; Drana can handle it! Here is what this deck likes to do:

GENERATE DISGUSTING AMOUNTS OF MANA: Crypt Ghast, Nirkana Revenant, Magus of the Coffers, Cabal Coffers, Black Market, and to a lesser extent Crypt of Agadeem and Liliana of the Dark Realms help you get maximum mana from your lands. Thespian's Stage can become a second Cabal Coffers as needed.

DRAW CARDS: Bloodgift Demon, Baleful Force , Greed, Promise of Power, and Dark Prophecy can keep your hand stocked.

KILL EVERYTHING: Crypt Rats , Dark Impostor, Gatekeeper of Malakir, Hythonia the Cruel , Nekrataal, Reiver Demon , and Sheoldred, Whispering One are creatures which help limit what can stay on the board. Black Sun's Zenith, Hex , Innocent Blood , Life's Finale, Mutilate, Syphon Flesh , Toxic Deluge, Nevinyrral's Disk, Silence the Believers, and Pestilence can all kill or exile multiple targets.

RECUR ALL THE STUFF YOU KILLED: Bone Dancer, Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, Nezumi Graverobber, Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni, Sepulchral Primordial, Sheoldred, Whispering One, Beacon of Unrest, Profane Command, Whip of Erebos, and Phyrexian Reclamation let you get the best stuff out of your or your opponents' graveyards.

SPEND ALL YOUR MANA: Use the mana to kill all opponents with Crypt Rats , Pestilence, Profane Command, Exsanguinate, Drain Life, Consume Spirit , or Maga, Traitor to Mortals.

Illusionist's Bracers combos really well with Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief, Dark Impostor, Nezumi Graverobber, and Crypt Rats to get extra value from every activation. These creatures are great mana sinks.
