With the banning of Paradox Engine, we lost... uh... nothing? Yup. Nothing. Paradox Scepter Thrasios has now become Consult Scepter Thrasios.

I honestly do not enjoy anything about this deck, but I don't plan on getting rid of it because it's good. Besides, I can build any non-red deck I want out of this.

This deck functions as the core for other decks I have. I simply swap cards in and out to make a different deck. This is currently Momir Vig.

Wincons

1) Demonic Consultation/Tainted Pact + Thassa's Oracle

2) Dramatic Scepter for infinite mana into Thrasios into Thassa's Oracle

3) Dramatic Scepter + Copy Artifact + Imprinted Swan Song creates infinite birds by casting and exiling Thrasios or Tymna over and over and over

Noteworthy Exclusions

1) Timetwister/Memory's Journey/Echo of Eons

I don't really see the point in Twister loops, as getting the infinite mana needed to draw the whole deck and play the loop can just get you to another one of the wincons already in the deck. That being said, yes, I understand that Twister is pretty much never a dead card on its own whereas Thassa's Oracle is always dead until you win with her. She's necessary for Demonic Consultation (1UUU for Jace is just too much), so cutting her isn't an option. Since there are already other wincons pretty much built-in with Dramatic Scepter, there really is no need to even try to throw in yet another spell.

2) Grim Monolith and Mana Vault

There aren't a whole lot of uses for colorless rituals.

3) Necropotence

BBB is extremely hard to pay. This card has been dead more often than not. I think the only time I managed to cast it was when I drew it and Dark Ritual together in an older version of the deck.

4) Angel's Grace

I'm not running the Windfall wincon and I don't rely on Ad Nauseam as much. Besides, with how low this deck's average CMC is, I tend to be able to find enough good stuff with Ad Nauseam.
