Timmy's two favorite things
Big mana
Big plays
...but then there's tutors and mass card draw and mana calculating, things to keep you engaged

Hey squad, if you look through this collection give me a comment, I've been updating this deck for over 7 years and want help to keep morphing it into the best casual Drana deck it can be. I most recently 10/18/21 cut a discard subtheme with Tergrid, God of Fright   out. It was hard to pull off and slowed the games down, rather than advance them forwards. I kept the big discard cards and replaced everything else with voltron and ramp things. That has really changed the feel of the deck and has really brought it together.

Tim's Checklist
1. Land Ramp
2. Double Mana
3. Draw Deck
4. Double Mana Again
With your excessive mana
- Eat everything with Drana
- Cast a huge Exsanguinate and Torment of Hailfire
- Tutor
~Dimir Machinations is Extraplanar Lens, Sculpting Steel, Necropotence, or Ophiomancer~
- Discard every one's hand
- Draw your deck early and discard most of it then Reanimate Nirkana Revenant
- Gain Life
-Eat them with Drana
Have them attack some one else by casting these guys
- Ophiomancer
- Mindslicer
- Phyrexian Obliterator
- Eat them with Drana
- Take their turn for them
- Surprise kill them with Tainted Strike or Hatred
- Look non threatening
~Don't cast your Doubling Cube until you can murk em
-Tutor up that Imp's Mischief and leave some mana open
-Reanimate your doublers
-Commander Tax doesn't matter look how much mana I have
-Ask them politely to remove something else
"One time I had two doublers in play then Sculpting Steeled my Doubling Cube, boy was that fun" ~Cliff TFTW

"I once took the first opponent out with Hatred on turn four, another one with Tainted Strike on turn 5, and then casted Worst Fears on turn 6. Ez game ez life." ~Dudeguy92man

"The land clones usually turn into snow swamps to benefit the doublers, however having 3 Cabal Coffers, with an Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth gets pretty ugly and it's totally worth losing some swamps to have that be possible" ~Zach C.
Decks not cheap, however many of the cards are pretty easily replaced
These cards are all available with a gold border
- Hatred
- Necropotence
- Ancient Tomb
- Bloodstained Mire - Cut
Replacements
- Imp's Mischief - I don't actually cast this often
- Damnation - Plenty of black board wipes
- Deadly Rollick - Defile or Tragic Slip
- Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, and Grim Tutor - Plenty of other tutor options in black
- Phyrexian Obliterator and Ophiomancer - something with deathtouch Vampire Nighthawk
- Doubling Cube - is pretty important, I might ball out for this
- Mana Crypt and Extraplanar Lens - Dreamstone Hedron and Hedron Archive, cut the snow lands
- Exquisite Blood - Pontiff of Blight
- Reanimate and Necromancy - Dread Return and Victimize
- Liliana of the Dark Realms - anything with value, or Pilgrim's Eye
- Vesuva - cut
- Cabal Coffers and Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth - Toss the Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth combo. Cabal Stronghold is better when you run mostly basics too

These cuts and changes puts the deck to under 200$, and it doesn't make it awful

As always, this is a work in progress. If you have any comments or suggestions, concerns, questions... Post away! Your feedback will be greatly appreciated, even if it sucks.

I've been thinking
Instant win combos aren't what I'm going for in this deck. Alpha strike cheese is kinda mean, but then there're two other players to punish you after, so I can rationalize doing that. The Peer into the Abyss + Skirge Familiar combo is not infinite, but it's close enough so that doesn't matter. It deals game ending damage to everyone easy.

General 7 mana strategy. If you have 12 mana, you can do it all in one turn
Note that Sol Ring and Mana Crypt can boost you a few mana if you draw them with Peer

Turn 1
-Cast Peer into the Abyss for 7 mana
-Cast either Reliquary Tower or Thought Vessel 25% to wiff and not draw either
-Pass the turn around the entire table, as the archenemy, with 18ish life.
Turn 2
-Tutor for Imp's Mischief
-Cast Skirge Familiar
-Tutor and Draw
-Cast Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate

It's easy to disrupt and Imp's Mischief isn't always useful. I think it has enough steps to be fair... lemme know in the comments.
