Back in 2013, we had the best Pre-Release event ever: Dragon's Maze!

Everyone choose their favourite guild and got a secondary guild which shared a colour with your first guild. Then you got some boosters only about your primary guild, some boosters only about your random secondary guild, and finally a few Dragon's Maze boosters and had to build a deck with the cards you got!

I played Azorius , got Orzhov as my secondary guild, and was able to run some Dimir cards thanks to this combination.

I could've made a 40 card deck, as allowed in pre-releases, like everyone else did... But instead I did run a 50 card deck, and haven't lost a single match! Even against hard opponents like Boros !

Most of the hard matches I won with Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker , which deals a lot of damage in a 40 card deck format (most running 16 lands)... He was the only COOL card I got from my boosters, which a friend reminded me that I could run him because my deck was , otherwise I wouldn't have realized it! So thanks to this friend, I won! :D (He got second place, also with his Mirko, haha)

(But having THREE Riot Control and a lot of detaining and tapping stuff helped A LOT too!)

So this is how I won my first official Magic event, represented my favourite guild and got a nice "MAZE CHAMPION" card for my collection. :)
