With the printing of Sarkhan, Fireblood , Dragons have suddenly gone from a novelty in casual, or a finisher with only a couple of copies in a deck, to something that is entirely viable, complete with tribal support! Lathliss, Dragon Queen functions as a Lord, being the first Dragon Lord who is actually a dragon, instead of a Goblin, or Human Barbarian Shaman.

There is a beautiful synergy between Birds of Paradise + Dragon Tempest , letting Birds pay for itself in a similar manner to Burning-Tree Emissary . It also supports the rest of the deck, as every creature with the exception of Dragonlord's Servant has flying.
