-Doomsday +Not Doomsday —Sept. 26, 2017

Guess the name ought to change. Doomsday's out, along with support cards like Gush and Lab Maniac. Now it's more gas and ramp for Scepter lines.

I've played against Luke quite a bit and I swore he had remora, why don't you have it here? Am I missing something?

dhoby87 - You could proooobably run it on those, but at the very least, swapping in Underground Sea and/or having a Tropical Island would be great to have.

marsthesoos - Honestly I probably forgot. I think I have Remora in my paper list too, dunno what happened there.

hey boss i love your deck it looks like alot of fun to play with but how has your land count been working out for you ? 28 seems low and no way to re use your fetch lands

Scogy - more than sufficient. In games where we need to grind out and actually make 4+ land drops, we're usually drawing 3-5 cards a turn between Tymna, cantrips, Thrasios, and Library. In games where we combo out fast, 2 is more than sufficient. If you take a look at most High Tide storm decks, you'll fine 28 is the most common number, with some even dropping to 27!

Does it make sense to add Tainted Pact for labman?

June 6, 2017 10:57 a.m.

LabManiac_Dan says... #7

Lihover - Some decks run that, but those are generally decks that can benefit from that sort of 'Hail Mary' card, like Food Chain lists. I haven't ever wanted a similar effect while playing this deck out, but if you want to try it I'd love to hear the results!

so with timetwister what would you replace it with while keeping the decks competitive edge?

June 8, 2017 2:29 a.m.

LabManiac_Dan says... #9

Scogy - Nothing in-line, since the other options kind of stink. Probably your favorite Draw 2 effect that isn't in the deck but doesn't suck. Something to boost the Doomsday or Ad Nauseam lines I think.

So if you had to replace Grim tutor and imperial seal what tutors would you replace them with to still keep the deck competitive?

Tangerinefox says... #11

@Scogy if I were you I'd put something like Snapcaster + Intuition in. Snap is a bit pricey too. But you can make pretty efficient intuition piles in this deck with the Bomberman alt-wincon, also why I would want Snap as you can make sure you get what you want.

Tangerinefox - Seconded.

Awesome thanks but you guys wouldn't run Cruel Tutor?

LabManiac_Dan says... #14

Nah, that card is atrocious.

Hey Dan, I'm really enjoying this list, and im planning on picking up most of it, except for timetwister, cancleabra, imperial seal and the original duals. My only true concern is what would your best recomendation be to replace the duals until i can pick up a set?

warthog177 says... #16

So if I want to make this more budget could I swap out bomberman combo for food chain? at that point should I just make the deck sultai until I could get bomberman?

September 19, 2017 9:28 p.m.

LabManiac_Dan says... #17

jjjwalker - losing duals isn't the worst, just add some pains and more rainbow lands.

warthog177 - removing bomberman is pretty lights out for the deck. Food Chain does nothing for this deck since there isn't a command zone outlet for infinite creature mana, so at that point you should just play BUG Sidisi.
