This is a quick build I made on Arena, but I think it's pretty sick.
The plan is to simultaneously ramp out with powerstone generators, dig through the deck for interaction with my cheap looters and pillagers, and fill the graveyard for Dollhouse of Horrors and Portal to Phyrexia to take over the late game.
This deck is obviously weak to any control strategy that wants to use Farewell to leave me with jack shit, but normally in best of 1's I can't really plan for that.
Currently coming up with a sideboard to help with any glaring weaknesses.
A good budget replacement for Ledger Shredder would be either Fallaji Archaeologist or Suspicious Stowaway
, but neither of them can continuously self-buff or trigger on the opponent's turn like good-ol' Shredder can.
I would definitely try and make space for The Mightstone and Weakstone
as premium removal, ramp, and card draw, but unfortunately I don't have any rare wildcards left to help out with that.
Any suggestions are welcome.
There's a hypothetical Izzett variant that I've been toying with that makes use of stuff like Horned Stoneseeker, Enthusiastic Mechanaut, Wandering Mind, and Serum-Core Chimera, but like its a bit too slow and lacking in strong removal options early game.
