Basic Gameplan

Hopefully it's someone else dying, not me, but that's secondary to doing nothing first.

This is a (bad) control deck based around getting inconvenient lock/hate pieces out, putting any threats under an o-ring, and generally just making it too bothersome for opponents to attack me rather than someone else.

Ways to actually win are... limited, but options include: (1) Starfield of Nyx , especially in combo with Doom Foretold ; (2) Sigil of the Empty Throne ; (3) Dance of the Manse for 6+; (4) Gideon, Ally of Zendikar / man-land beat-down; or (5) Blind Obedience or God-Pharaoh's Statue I guess?

The basic priority order for things to fetch is: (1) o-ring for threat that will kill you; (2) phyrexian arena; (3) ghostly prison, blind obedience, karmic justice, monastery siege; (4) o-rings for threats that might kill you if left unattended; (5) other lock pieces. Obviously matchups change that.

Future Plans

This thing definitely needs a big tune-up. The manabase is inefficient; I could use dropping some ineffective pieces in exchange for more ramp; I'm not really using blue/black as best as I could; the lock pieces aren't actually strong enough to keep me safe, if I end up the focus; and I want to look into adding a couple combo win conditions, if I can do so without making the deck even less focused.

I might also look to take this in a more resource-denying direction, because right now it feels too much like letting my opponents do what they want, so long as it's not aimed at me, which mostly just leads to dying last, rather than actually winning. Harder resource locks, or some way to be genuinely safe from attack will be pretty important.

Also could maybe use some boots—getting zur out a turn earlier seems like a better plan than playing some of the weaker lock pieces, in a lot of cases.
