My main deck. Slow, inconsistent, underpowered for Modern, but fun and flavorful.
Essentially, I saw cards like Consuming Aberration, Nemesis of Reason, Jace's Phantasm and Phenax, God of Deception and thought it'd make a really neat deck themed around madness, memories and monstrosities. I like draw power too.
A few things that make me smile if they happen:
-Milling the opponent's library to zero. A not-implausible win.
-Aqueous Form
+
Consuming Aberration
usually ends the game. Especially since Aqueous form sets off its mill again. By turn six, if I haven't found a way to mill 20 then I'm probably not going to win anyway.
-A first hand with an island, Jace's Phantasm and a tome scour or two. A very strong start.
-Consuming Aberration + Phenax, God of Deception
. Especially good because the Aberration doesn't have to risk removal by attacking, just tap him a couple turns.
Like I said, it's not that good, certainly won't win any tourneys, I doubt it would even do that well in Standard. Still my favorite to play though.
