This deck is an exact replica of my cards foils and alternative arts

This is a Dimir Control homebrew I made back over the course of several tourneys in my hometown when Pioneer first released. With the format returning to my local card shop I've revamped my card list and I figured I would share my new ideas and card changes with you!!!

This deck is extremely fun to play... for me. I hate people and now no one wants to be my friend so its a win/win.

  1. Thought Erasure great hand disruption without losing life from Thoughtseize leading to earlier deaths from aggro.
  2. Drown in the Loch over all great spell with the ability to kill or counter. This can sometimes back fire if I'm slow to load the oppoenent's graveyard with cards. But this doesn't typically happen with my number of kill/counter/field wipes.
  3. I hate aggro... Languish on turn four and watch them scoop. That's a nice hexproof and indestructible spirit deck you have... it'll look better in the trash...
  4. Feed the Swarm replaced Tyrant's Scorn giving me a much needed enchantment removal and compliments Drown in the Loch. Heartless Act, and Murderous Rider for my creature removal.
  5. Search for Azcanta   allows me to quickly surveil away unneeded cards from my top deck leaving me for more consistent draws. Doubles as a land for my Traumatize combo.
  6. Narset, Parter of Veils Great card in any game preventing opponent draw power and allowing me to tutor up my game finishing combo.
  7. Mystical Dispute Easily one of the best counters ever made IMO.
  8. Dig Through Time Late game synergy with my full graveyard from cheap mana casts and Search for Azcanta  . Again used for the game winning combo.
  9. Fae of Wishes I will always say this is the best card I've ever used. I can get any card from my sideboard including wither piece of my game winning combo.
  10. Thief of Sanity *f-pp* Sometimes just protecting this creature from one kill spell is enough to make anyone scoop. Whats better than your friends using Kalonian Hydra? You using it!!!
  11. The Scarab God If a card has this much text the opponent's should always quit when they see it... (They should quit when they see my basic lands XD)
  12. Fraying Sanity *f-pre* and Traumatize Game Over... Smugly look at your opponent and say, "If It's Even... You Lose..."

Some Final Thoughts:

  1. The side board currently is a collection of cards to help me in any situation with Fae of Wishes. My last few tourneys were full of Mono Black and Spirit Aggro decks.

  2. I usually won most FNM 4-0 with my deck.

  3. I see a lot of professionals running lots of these utility lands but I'm not sure if I'm in love with my land distribution yet.

  4. I recently bought several Disciple of Deceit and I'm toying with the idea of replacing Fae of Wishes with it and then removing Dig Through Time so I can run Leyline of Anticipation for flash casting and using unused Leylines to tutor Languish using Disciple of Deceit. Thoughts?!? *

  5. I have a historic version of this deck for my MTG Arena: https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/dimir-control-historic/

Looking forward to feedback and maybe some suggestions!!! Sideboard Suggestions would be appreciated!!!
