I own this entire deck.

Affordable version of my "Did you mean to nuke Yourself?" deck.

Suggestions are greatly appreciated! If you suggest something, please make it affordable (<=$25ish)

The purpose of this deck is to win by Barren Glory . While you CAN win with attack effects via Kami of False Hope, it generally is plan E-F. You stall the opponent using cards like Holy Day and Kami of False Hope, incase they are playing aggressively. In general, you don't want to sac the lands for additional mana, unless you absolutely HAVE to have to tutor for something. Once you get Barren Glory out, there is no turning back. At the end of their turn, you should discard your hand. Be wary of their Counterspells, and always try to have one on hand (I cut Pact of Negation, due to it's absurd cost, so I need to find another card that works well... Well, that is all for now!

  • 24 Lands - CHECK
  • 4 Barren Glory 's - CHECK
  • 4 Fog Effects - CHECK
  • 4 kill spells - CHECK! Dismember is a good option
  • 8 Hand Discards - CHECK
  • 4 Counterspell's - NO CHECK. Need counters that cost very little blue, or none at all to protect the combo. A playset of Pact of Negation costs $24 (way over budget. the deck should cost a maximum of $60)
  • 4 Mana ramps - CHECK.
  • 8 Tutors (4 Barren Glory tutors, 4 general tutors) - NO CHECK! Rhystic Tutor helps for part of the 8 tutors (general), but I need another one. Enlightened Tutor worked really well in my non-affordable one, but It costs currently around $13 a pop ($52 for a playset!). Thinking about Death Wish , but definantly not Diabolic Tutor

  • -4 Enlightened Tutor.
  • +4 Spoils of the Vault. The enlightened tutor is SO much money, and spoils of the vault can also look for discard cards if I need to. The only downside is the potential for life loss life loss. I will be looking into cards like Pay No Heed and whatnot to replace Kami of False Hope.
  • -4 Pact of Negation.
  • +4 Silence. Silence works almost as well as Pact of Negation. The downsides are A) I need to keep mana open for it, which I sometimes won't have (quite a bit of the time), B) It doesn't prevent them from casting spells before Silence resolved. On the upside, however, it costs a lot less money ($7 less from the time of this post). Also, it forces them to counter it if they were going to counter anything.
