“Look to my coming on the first LIGHT of the fifth day, at DAWN look to the east.”

This deck was built for my wife who's easing into the game for the very first time, and wanted a control-type deck with a flavoured angel theme.

The Dawning of the Sunblast Angel was constructed from the limited collection at hand, and is filled with blasts of purifying light, causing all enemies to wither in its cleansing glare. The deck looks to stall during the early game with tappers, Blinding Mage , Brightmare , Imposing Sovereign , Glimpse the Sun God and also a few cantrips, Expose Evil , Alchemist's Vial . The angel's cohorts are protected by Shelter which also serves to get more cards into hand.

Emancipation Angel can bounce Alchemist's Vial , Wall of Omens , and Cathedral Sanctifier in the earlier game for more card draw, or re-trigger one of the later game angels for more devastation. Resolute Archangel and Sunblast Angel are the big angels in question, and the latter will destroy all the tapped creatures, along with Take Vengeance . Finally Ephemerate is there to trigger "entering the battlefield" effects on the various cards in play.
