Daughters of Atemsis

Commander / EDH Mono-Blue

keatsblue

Atemsis, All-Seeing EDH -- the Daughters of Artemis (eh, Atemsis).

Basically, the deck strives to fulfill three main functions: (1) Draw lots of cards, (2) make sure you have no maximum hand size, and (3) be un-blockable.

As a secondary win condition that happens to synergize really well with the deck's make-up, I've included Mechanized Production + Prototype Portal . If this goes off for even a few turns with any other artifact, you've done well. My personal favorites include Kefnet's Monument and Caged Sun.

Meet the "daughters," or the other sphinxes (because why not): Cloudreader Sphinx Consecrated Sphinx Glyph Keeper Guardian of Tazeem Horizon Scholar Sharding Sphinx Sphinx of Foresight Sphinx of Jwar Isle Sphinx of Magosi Sphinx of the Final Word Sphinx of Uthuun Windreader Sphinx

Yes, there's a lot of them. With any luck, we should be able to cast most of them by turn 4 or 5. The next challenge, then, becomes staying alive until turn 5. We have a few things to help us with this, from control-type shenanigans to your friendly neighborhood jellyfish. Of course, I speak of my pet card, Guard Gomazoa. This card does SO much work.

Counterspells + "stay away from me" category: Cancel, Counterspell, Disdainful Stroke, Reality Shift, Turn Aside, Ray of Command, Dissipation Field, Propaganda, Malfunction, AEtherize, Cyclonic Rift (doubles as board-wipe, we all know how it goes), etc.

Now, let's move on to the main goals -->

1: Draw cards -- Prosperity, Skyscribing, Consecrated Sphinx, Kami of the Crescent Moon (adorable group hug boi), Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur (adorable group slug boi), Pull from Tomorrow, Bident of Thassa, most of the Daughters shown above.

2: No max hand size -- Spellbook, Venser's Journal, Reliquary Tower, and... that's all, folks.

3: Be un-blockable -- This may take several forms. We've got your classic Aqueous Form or Whispersilk Cloak-type effects, but also think of things like Devastation Tide, Sleep, or Gridlock.

Here we'll reveal our 4th and final objective, not mentioned above --> winning in a single turn. Look to cards like Helm of the Host and Temporal Trespass. Or, perhaps even Enter the Infinite?

Aside from these main objectives, I've also included a little lifegain, a little mana ramp. I'm sure you smart folks can put those together. Ultimately, this deck is meant to be played in more casual settings, though I believe it is still synergistic enough to pack a punch. I purposefully haven't included infinite combos or turn 1 craziness (that I know of), because approaching EDH in that way is no fun for me. But if you want to use this list & make those additions, go you! Hope this description has provided some insight.
