Daretti's Dragons

This deck was my first commander deck. It can react to a variety of circumstances gaining board control with artifact combinations and then uses dragon swarms to beat down your opponents.

Start the game ramping into large amounts of mana with Gauntlet of Might and the other mana doublers and artifact ramp. I like the late game potential of Dreamstone Hedron and the others, sacrificing some of the mana ramp into card draw.

Gain card advantage with Daretti, Scrap Savant and Wild Guess and the other sorceries by discarding artifacts that you intend to recur from the graveyard later in the match. Almost any late game artifact works great in this scenario, just be weary of an opponent that can exile your graveyard.

Stall out your opponent with removal cards like Shattering Spree and Fissure Vent destroying their mana ramp and lands while using cards like Duplicant , Spine of Ish Sah , and Scour from Existence to take out major threats. Board wipe when necessary as your artifact creatures will easily be returned from the graveyard. Platinum Angel is a primary stall strategy against voltron decks; while Platinum Emperion can stall some scenarios in a pinch.

There are a few dragons that really shine in this deck. Hellkite Igniter is particularly strong with this decks ability to generate a lot of mana with a bunch of artifacts on the board. With some fun synergy with Hellkite Tyrant . Utvara Hellkite is another dragon that must be dealt with quickly before the game turns to your advantage. Add any of the equipment to the board and make your dragons or artifact creatures more formidable. Ultimately, with two or three of the dragons on the board your opponent will have a tough time taking back control before you beat them down.

A few of the cards in here have some really excellent play opportunities. Once you've discarded as many artifacts as possible, drop Scrap Mastery and gain control of the board. Mirage Mirror and Sculpting Steel are high functioning utility cards that you can't go wrong with. Duplicate Utvara with the mirror or quadruple your mana with a second gauntlet or caged sun.

Feldon of the Third Path is possibly my favorite card in the deck. Equip him with Lightning Greaves and he starts pumping out whichever creature has the most effective enters the battlefield effect in your graveyard. Every. Turn. Thats a three mana artifact tutor with Hoarding Dragon . Pick your opponents creature base apart, sniping with Duplicant . Or cheat out some creatures from you hand or the top of your library with Clone Shell or Summoner's Egg . Again this isn't a card that you can really go wrong with and your opponent will need to have a response for.

This deck fairs extremely well in one on one matches and smaller multiplayer matchups. Once you have three or more opponents to take on, the dynamics of the match can make it difficult to establish a board presence without making yourself and Daretti prime targets.
