This is another Background pairing I'd thought would make for a cool budget deck.

Gale's ability allows you to cast weird and expensive spells from the grave as long as they have a fixed mana cost and as long you have a cheap can trip or something in your hand. Granted, his strange requirements of needing a sorcery to cast an instant and vice versa adds an element of randomness to the spells at your disposal.

However, because casting a cheap can trip or counter spell entails an automatic casting of another spell, I thought it'd be pretty easy to storm off with this ability. Thus, Thousand-Year Storm is an easy include to make things spicy.

Im still looking for ways to improve upon the chaotic nature of this deck. Any recommendations are welcome.

Major Update:

I have recently discovered that much of the appeal that Gale had with his effect for me has been a straight-up lie that I made up in my head and never corrected until literally this year. Turns out Gale does not cast the sorceries or instants you want out of your graveyard for free whenever you cast the corresponding instant/sorcery from your hand.

You still have to manually pay the mana cost for the spell you want to cast from your graveyard, and this revelation has since ruined any and all hope I've had for making this deck irl.

Thank god I never built this deck in real life, otherwise it would have been one hell of a disappointing mess if I ever brought him to a table.

Rest in peace the idea of Gale I had in my head. You will be sorely missed.
