Maybeboard

I made this deck specifically to play within my local comp/casual play group. Our meta doesn't really have many "combo" decks, but we do have a lot of life gain and a lot of population. So with this deck I'm trying to get Dakkon Blackblade on the field as fast as possible and attach something like Whispersilk Cloak and Blackblade Reforged to get them with commander damage rather than trying to chip down all that health or smash through an army to get any damage through.

The deck is actually doing pretty well, but I never feel like I'm getting as many lands as I should. Dakkon is usually only like a 6/6 to 9/9 most of the time. It a deck that needs lands as much as this does I feel like I have no more land than most others. So most of the damage ends up coming from double strike. So because his base power and toughness isn't super impressive it makes Essence Harvest and Rite of Consumption not very viable; also bearing in mind that it's likely the enemy will have a lot of health anyway. Walking Atlas also ends up not being very strong because it seems like there is never enough mana in my hand for it to be necessary.

Another issue is that I'm always wishing I could draw more cards. It seems like I always end up with Ghirapur Orrery in my hand and them I'm trying to get through my hand as fast as possible so I can draw 3 cards but then again it's hard to get rid of my hand because I don't have enough mana. If I was getting more lands into my hand I could also play Horn of Greed but right now it just isn't worth it.

I used to have Sun Titan in my main board but not many in my group run artifact removal so I feel like I'm never using him; also he is expensive for the amount of mana I unusually find myself with. People seem to prefer to find ways around Dakkon having hexproof artifacts on him, like board wipes. So I've also been considering blink effects as well.

I also feel like I end up usually not doing very much every turn. Maybe this isn't a bad thing or maybe it's because I don't have enough mana, but my turns are pretty basic. Maybe I'm just not used to this, obviously Dakkon is kind of old school.

Lastly, I feel like the only reason I'm winning very much is because early in the game and into mid game I don't have much on the board that can do anything (such as creatures or enchantmants that protect me) so no one views me as a threat. If someone wanted to it wouldn't be difficult to just kill me early game. So having slightly more board presence might be helpful, but I'm not sure what to use for that.

I am trying to play on somewhat of a budget as most of my group does. I kind of splurged on this one because I love Dakkon and I've always wanted a Crucible of Worlds and I loved the flavor of those snow lands. Other than that, I already owned most of the pricier cards.
