So I'm considering my options and am tempted to cut Seer's Sundial in favour of Ifh-Biff Efreet.

Thoughts?

Hall of Gemstone seems crucial to mono green control.

Bind no one see's it coming.

Hall of Gemstone is certainly interesting... I may give that a try. I need to playtest this more before tinkering with it further.

Thanks. Hum of the Radix is neat

I seriously considered City of Solitude, but it shuts off my ability to fog, which is a key defensive strategy. Drop of Honey is way too costly to buy and play.

Some of your suggestions like Arboria, I already play

Interesting deck. I never played monogreen, so I unfortunately lack experience in this color sheme, but it's the first time I'm seeing a pseudo-tax in monogreen that tries to mass fireball everyone!!! This looks terribly fun :P

A few questions that could raise updates:

  • Your list seems focused on dropping as much lands as possible, thus is 35 lands enough? Do you have moment where you draw just a few lands but have many "extra-drop lands" cards?

  • Preferred Selection seems overcosted (4 manas to cast) just for a semi-Sylvan Library, isn't it?

  • Nature's Wrath seems also overcosted (6 manas) for something that affects only U an B players. But maybe your meta is plenty of them?

  • Zendikar Resurgent with only 16 creatures? I would instead use Mana Reflection.

Suggestions:

  • Tangle is a fog I really like. It lets your opponent unprotected against other players that could take their chance with an open path. It helps distract attention away from you.

  • You should play Sol Ring at all cost, except for some weird theme reason, and even if you add Null Rod to your list (which is a really strong car against common manarocks and pesty artifact players -like me :p- )

  • Doubling Cube of course with this deck's strategy.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll keep them in mind for sure.

You're right in assuming that a couple of these cards are meta specific (Nature's Wrath).

n0bunga, I'm curious to see what kind of mono green stax you come up with.

Ender666666 says... #9

n0bunga did you ever brew up a spicy Mono-Green Stax list?

I'm thinking of cutting Lifegift to add Song of the Dryads instead. Anyone have any thoughts?

What do people think about the addition of Recross the Paths?

Ender666666 says... #11

So, since Devotion plays a role in the deck, I've decided to add Primalcrux as a massive beater. Thoughts? I'm also considering adding Boseiju, Who Shelters All

Stefouch says... #12

If you need ramp cards, I would play Wood Elves or Skyshroud Claim before Recross the Paths.

Primal Crux? I don't know. I like Worldspine Wurm and Ghalta, Primal Hunger and Multani, Yavimaya's Avatar for this job. But maybe your list needs a lower cmc card.

Ender666666 says... #13

After giving it some thought, I agree that Primalcrux should be replaced by Multani, Yavimaya's Avatar

What about Archetype of Endurance for more creature protection and another Enchantment, cutting Praetor's Counsel which has been a dead card some of the times I draw it?

I saw your comment on On Nom Trample. I love seeing your decks whenever I see your name. Anways, Survival of the Fittest to help you get the creature you need, its an enchantment and works well with genesis.

Yavimaya Hollow - Regen and another land target

Genesis Wave - GWAVE

Perhaps snow covered plains + scrying sheets.

Ender666666 says... #17

Profet93 I'm gonna assume you meant Snow-Covered Forest and not Plains :)

Thanks for your comments and suggestions. I appreciate hearing that people like my decks, expecially more fringe ones like this. You wouldn't believe how hard I am trying to get this deck noticed and upvoted... Mostly to no avail.

I was considering Survival of the Fittest, but wasn't sure I ran enough creatures to make the best use of it. Playing nicely with Genesis is pretty tight though.

My main concern with using Genesis Wave is that it could bin my precious Hurricane effects and cut me off from winning in that way.

Anyhow, Thanks for your comment. If you can, please remember to upvote as well :)

I love the premise and nissa is a great choice for the ramp and card advantage. Have you considered Helix Pinnacle as an alternate wincon? Makes you less dependent on your own creatures surviving board wipes, and since you're an enchantment first deck, it fits the bill rather nicely. Also, Heroic Intervention can help save all your enchantments from mass wipes. And one of my favorite tech is Creeping Renaissance. It will help out a lot in recovery from any successful board wipes.

Ender666666 says... #19

Thanks Kamerot for the compliments and feed. I haven't really considered Helix Pinnacle before, just because it seems like a bit of a cheesy win-con that would place a target on my head if I didn't have a way to protect myself.. That said, it certainly is interesting and I might give it a try sometime.. Also, I had no idea that it had become so expensive as a card!

I love Creeping Renaissance but am not running it, mostly for space reasons.

My meta runs a lot of Null Rods, so my current dilemma is whether it's worth playing Tireless Tracker, or whether I should run another enchantment, like Growing Rites of Itlimoc  Flip or Hum of the Radix for more artifact hate? Thoughts? n0bunga what do you think?

August 27, 2018 12:50 p.m. Edited.

Kamerot says... #20

Growing Rites of Itlimoc  Flip is a great card, and as long as you can get it transformed, it can net you ridiculous mana. Hum of the Radix is really interesting, I don't know what you're meta looks like, but I would leave it for a sideboard type of card for really artifact centric decks. I know in my meta, there's like 2 decks that would really screw over, but that's it.

Thanks n0bunga.

Any thoughts on my Tireless Tracker dilemma?

maybe a Deserted Temple for an additional land target and to fuel cradle 1 and 2?

Also not neccesary but an idea could be crucible with fetch lands? Help them out the deck, bring back cradle (because strip mine) and doesn't interfere with null rod.

Its very hard to suggest things when the deck looks so good already. I've also never played enchantment builds before.

Given your amount of nonbasics, you might want to consider Rude Awakening over early harvest. It costs more but the utility is worth it. Untapped ALL lands, having an alt wincon and making all lands creatures helps fuel cradle 1 and 2.

Ender666666 says... #23

Some good suggestions there, worth thinking on. It might even be worth running both Early Harvest and Rude Awakening. Thanks for the suggestion!

Ender666666 says... #24

Anyone have a suggestion on what I could cut to add Rude Awakening?

August 28, 2018 7:40 a.m.

Ender666666 says... #25

Spike Weaver has been great as a repeatable fog effect, especially with Genesis in the graveyard to return it to play. I definitely don't want to cut that one. I was thinking of maybe cutting Ulvenwald Hydra as it doesn't Trample and my main objective to winning is not through Combat anyway.
