This deck enlists heaven's mightiest, mana-intensive warriors on the cheap by giving our commander Maelstrom Archangel double strike with Duelist's Heritage, True Conviction and Aurelia, the Warleader, by getting free spells from Sunbird's Invocation, Maelstrom Nexus, Lurking Predators, and Descendants' Path, and by reducing the cost of casting our spells with Fist of Suns, Urza's Incubator, Herald's Horn, and Herald of War.

Angels warp the game-state through the like of Angel of Jubilation, Angelic Arbiter, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, Platinum Angel, Shalai, Voice of Plenty, and Sigarda, Host of Herons.

Board wipes and removal delay the game until the deck's mana ramp reaches critical mass, and the draw engines of Phyrexian Arena, Sylvan Library, Temur Ascendancy, Herald's Horn, Conflux, and Rhystic Study ensure that you constantly have threats in your hand.

Iona, Shield of Emeria can be added as a win condition, but most often when cast, it reads: "Target player stops having fun" and doesn't fit into how I want to play the game.

The land base is expensive but built the way it is to ensure hitting 5 colors as soon as possible. Budget options can be found with Tolarian Community College on YouTube.
