I am so bored seeing the same cards in commander decks that I decided to build around not only one obscure tribe but TWO obscure tribes! That's right, folks: Assassin and Mercenaries. There are even two cards that share both the assassin and mercenary creature types: Rathi Assassin and Silent Assassin. And if that wasn't enough, I also wanted to use (almost) only old border cards. The only exceptions to this rule was that some of the assassins I wanted to run, including the commander, were released only in modern borders.

Notable excludes due to self-imposed card border restrictions include Victim of Night, Assassinate, Murder and Go for the Throat. That said, contract killers are crafty and have access to classic murder weapons such as Vendetta, Smother, Death Stroke and Fatal Blow.

And when we are not snuffing out lives, our spies are messing with minds. Cards like Misinformation, Coercion, Blackmail, Suppress and Head Games do a decent job interfering with our victim's daily short-lived lives. But the soon-to-be deceased should not worry, we will make sure their legacy will live on through their loved ones' Painful Memories and Agonizing Memories.

Once word of our despicable deeds reach the rulers of these lands, they will no doubt send their armies after us in an attempt to calm the fears of their people. Let them! We lay in the shadows, waiting for the Decree of Pain before coming down on the hapless like a Rain of Daggers. They won't suspect our Overwhelming Forces! We will Mutilate every last one of them and when the dust settles, kingdoms crumbled, their masters will stand naked before the Massacre Girl and we will have the Last Laugh...
