Commander 20 product recall:

Yannik, Scavenging Sentinel has proven to be faulty in certain situations; completely wiping boards and spoiling games.

Wizards of the coast would like to offer it’s sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused at any local game stores.

The fault appears to happen when Yannik targets another card with a triggered exile ability.

Affected card: Yannik, Scavenging Sentinel.

A legendary Hyena that costs When Yannik enters the battlefield you may exile another target creature you control until Yannik leaves the battlefield. If you do, distribute +1/+1 counters among any number of creatures you control, where is the exiled creature’s power.

Interactions

The issues being caused in games are only being caused when Yannik, Scavenging Sentinel is targeted by a card with a similar ability. Example combinations that you should avoid are:

• Faceless Butcher targeting Yannik as this will bring back the creature that Yannik exiled. Triggering any ETB triggers that creature may have.

• Fiend Hunter then being cast and targeting Faceless Butcher, Yannik then enters the battlefield, exiling the Fiend Hunter, bringing back Faceless Butcher which exiles Yannik

This creates a loop that can only be stopped by targeting a different creature with the exile trigger created from one of the ETB triggers.

Other serious issues.

With the additional cards like:

• Panharmonicon

• Lumbering Battlement

Players are seeing multiple triggers from creatures re entering the battlefield.

If Yannik, Scavenging Sentinel targets the creature listed above, players are seeing multiple ETB triggers from the cards exiled prior.

• Wood Elves

• Elvish Visionary

Are seeing some value but the much harsher situations involve cards like:

• Massacre Wurm

• Angel of Despair

• Ichor Rats paired with Pollenbright Druid
