Zetalpa has enough keyword abilities to be an equipment's wetdream and makes combat aura's look pathetic. So all we can really hope for is to support its attack power or get out of the way.

This deck aims at gaining momentum by taking advantage of a number of pseudo-ramp cards like Conqueror's Galleon   and Golden Guardian   and wiping the board from time to time until Zetalpa enters the game. While Zetalpa's mana cost is certainly a mountain to get over, its presence is difficult to beat in combat. With even a couple of anthem effects, you'll immediately begin threatening quick Commander kills while also retaining a defensive position.

You also have some other tricks up your sleeve, like with Odric, Lunarch Marshal riding Zetalpa into victory. Sublime Archangel gives an awesome boost to Zetalpa when you're in a tight spot. But if you're looking for other mana tricks, look no further than the combination of Lotus Vale or Scorched Ruins and Thespian's Stage. Due to how Thespian's Stage works, you can bypass the sacrifice effect on the Vale and Ruins to get a nice jump in mana. As long as you're not in a meta involving lots of land destruction, this will be a fairly quick way in getting mana for Zetapla. In time, I hope to add cards:Crucible of Worlds and maybe other looting effects so that nothing is wasted.
