Adding card draw and a soft lock —July 29, 2019
After running the deck for about 10 games I have noticed a lack of card draw. The deck was able to combo off T5 in one game bur after that was just a bit too slow for where I want it to be. So I will be adding the following cards-
Phyrexian Arena Removing- Tireless Tracker
Reforge the Soul Removing- Llanowar Elves
Adding these 2 cards should increase consistency and speed things up with the draw already in the deck.
Next I learned I need something to help slow down my opponents when the deck does move a bit slow so I will be adding a soft lock using Maralen of the Mornsong+Stranglehold. This will prevent my opponents from drawing cards on their draw step, as well as prevent them from tutoring. I will be removing Kodama's Reach and Farhaven Elf since they just provide redundancy for ramp and lands do not matter as much as they normally would with a Windgrace build.
Finally I am going to add Defense of the Heart as it will allow for more consistency in my combos as well as provide a way to combo even earlier than I could previously. Even if it does not allow for an early combo, it will allow me to search up and cheat out 2 pieces of a combo improving the versatility of the deck. I will be removing Caustic Caterpillar.
