Sideboard

This deck is another build that fits my overarching commitment in deck building: Mono-colored Kamigawa Commanders.

I typically adhere to a pretty small budget, aside from the staples that I have from previous builds which of course do contribute to the overall cost of the deck. This budget means that acquiring 30 copies of rat colony would be quite a project. I do however have many of the Kamigawan rats, and I have tried to select any others that have some utility other than being the correct creature type.

I find that the turn one rats are comfortable to play regardless of their stat line, as they provide oil for the Marrow-gnawer machine.

I want the deck to be dynamic, to flow in terms of mana, and to have more varied gameplay than the rat colony iteration, given that I'm choosing to use a bunch of rag-tag rats.

My meta is pretty casual as a result of not having the seriously competitive mana rocks, but in all other regards, we play the things that win games and make for a good time.

Any recommendations are welcome.
