This deck started as a sea creature build, but this got me to thinking about the stories of H.P. Lovecraft, which I absolutely love. The Eldrazi clearly took some aesthetic influence from those works- especially in Eldritch Moon- and I wanted to build a deck that would primarily be fun to look at, almost like a gallery of fishy cosmic horror in Magic. Moreover, I wanted it to play like a story, like my opponents were participants in a new chapter of the Lovecraftian mythos. I'm not sure how well I've pulled off the latter, and especially if I've managed to balance form with function, but I do really like the art I've "curated," so to speak. I'd love for any suggestions you have!
