Maybeboard

I was seeking an aggressive deck to add to my cEDH table filled with combo and stax. I limited it down to Anafenza, the Foremost tax n' beats, Atraxa, Praetors' Voice infect, or this deck. Thanks to Suns_Champion's OH LORD JESUS IT'S A FIRE! | Neheb EDH I was able to get a foundation for my newest cEDH build.

Keep in mind this is cEDH at a very fast paced table so I can't afford the time to play a lot of the more fun cards like Sunbird's Invocation . The goal is to assemble a board state that lets Neheb, the Eternal enter, attack, and combo off all in one turn. This requires haste and card draw and wants additional combat and additional damage that does not require mana. If the additional damage requires mana it cuts into my ability to play Neheb, the Eternal at the earliest possible moment.

*Update*

Finally out of beta testing! I replaced all the proxies (thank you to a close friend for Mox Diamond as an early present). Testing and discussion down and here is what I have come to. I will maintain the maybe board so you can see all the cards I considered since this deck has to warp a lot based on your meta and budget.

First off yes I am not running X burn spells. The consensus was that if I have enough mana for it to matter at our cEDH table I should probably be able to win via damage or boardstate.

Second I have outlined my categories.

Haste sources allow me to play and hit with Neheb in the same turn which is super important in my combo/control meta. They also let my new creatures drawn as I combo attack in the additional combats or use their abilities.

Acceleration allows me to play at a pace that keeps up with the fastest combo decks. The trick though is to try and hold it when reasonable so you can go from zero to sixty when least expected and your opponent's shields are down.

Damagers help Neheb generate enough mana on the first swing to get things rolling. Occasionally they let me avoid combat all together since Neheb does not need to attack to trigger. Aggravated Assault + Neheb, the Eternal +6 damage to opponents is infinite mana without having to attack. Some can also let you beat Spore Frog .

Draw and Wheels give me something to do with all the mana and seek an actual closer. I make great use of the the red card advantage mechanic of exiling the top card and being able to cast it this turn to make up for red's lack of good draw.

Outlets are needed once you have all that mana and cards to cast. These are meant to end the game or at minimum warp the board in my favor so much my opponent's can't come back.

Interaction is the last bit that ties all this together. Strongly considering finding room for Fork because coping my opponent's tutors has been winning me the game. Some of my favorite copy targets are Tooth and Nail , Demonic Tutor , Eldritch Evolution , Price of Progress and Mana Drain .

Notable combos are:

Combat Celebrant + Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker or Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Zealous Conscripts

Furnace of Rath + Heartless Hidetsugu

Aggravated Assault + Neheb, the Eternal
