"They who spend the most mana per game, will likely win" This is how (I believe) they intended East tree to be used, not for land drops but big, bigger and baddest creatures. So goes the theory. Green ramps you up in land count until Alena comes out. Next turn picture this....bring in Kodama, tap Alena for 6 red mana drop one of the many 5+ CMC creatures this deck features and play another for free! That is a possible 18 mana spent turn 4 or 5 depending on ramp draws. This deck features over 10 creatures that have power 4 or greater and they will drop into play fast. By turn 6 or 7 you should be getting 30 mana worth of spells and opponents simply can't keep up. Plenty of point removal for anything that bugs you. By the numbers: Creature removal X11 Ramp X13 Draw X8 A/E removal X7 Untaps X7 Free* drops X7 (free drop triggers not 0 cost) (One mana for copy and Elvish Piper) Plus splashes of scry, haste and waves of trample.
