Deck is all about ramping, putting on battlefield lots of creatures and putting on them lots of +1/+1 counters. There's a lot of ways of doing that, for example proliferate. Main combo in this deck is Evolution Sage + Fathom Mage + Lorescale Coatl. Evolution sage gives more counters for Mage, which gives us cards, which puts more counters on Coatl. Of course Coatl also gets counters from Sage, making it really big boy in a matter of time. Win conditions in this deck are Hardened Scales (more counters), Evolution Sage (lots of proliferate - more counters) and Zegana (trample for creatures with counters). Alternative win condition is Simic Ascendancy, getting 20 counters on that card when our combo is online is pretty easy. Rest of cards supports main theme - Merfolk Skydiver and Roalesk puts counters on creatures, Roalesk also proliferate twice when he dies, Courage in Crisis and Karn's Bastion proliferate, Master Biomancer puts counters on creatures when they enter the battlefield.

In sideboard some removal and counterspell if you're facing aggro (this deck struggles a lot against aggro decks because it need some time to take over the game).
