Under Construction

My playgroup is having a deckbuilding challenge to each build an EDH deck with a random God for under $50. This is that deck.

Primary Themes

  • Landfall - Landfall Triggers.
  • Costly Dudes - Expensive creatures to get value out of the extra lands, Creatures with built in mana sinks.
  • Land Drop - Get extra lands out.

Secondary Themes

  • Recast - Return creatures to hand for extra creature cast triggers (Karametra and card draw sources)
  • Removal - mostly exile and enchantment removal to combat other God Commanders.
  • Draw - mostly from creature cast triggers

Tertiary Themes

  • Misc - Other goodstuff

Notable Combos/Synergies

Karametra, God of Harvests - repeated creature casts into land drops

Unfortunately for <$50 it's hard to make this infinite. But, it's not unreasonable to get several extra land drops at instant speed with one of these guys in hand, and your commander out. Doing this on multiple turns mid to late game can easy get you to an absurd land count, able to cast whatever you want.

Emeria Shepherd - repeated recursion into land drops + extra recursion

Sun Titan also does a very good job of recurring land drop sources, but he's not quite as exploitable as Emeria Shepherd only doing so once a turn. However, he does allow you to recur lands, notably Evolving Wilds and Terramorphic Expanse.
