I've wanted to do a Persistent Petitioners EDH build since the card came out. Bruvac the Grandiloquent is the perfect general for that. I'm positive that WotC printed him just to synergize with petitioners.

The deck plan attempts to either win by casting a ton of petitioners and using cards like Isochron Scepter, Intruder Alarm, or Thrumming stone to turbo their mill abilities, or cards that are instant kills with Bruvac, like Maddening Cacophony, Traumatize, and Fraying Sanity.

to keep the deck afloat is a counter/control package which can also be used with Isochron to become repeatable.
