You got to spend life to get ahead. Take risks! Its what is all about. Putting your neck on the line for power. M20's been a great set for new commanders and damn if this isnt one of them.
The idea of course is to spend life for your benefit. Vilis is a draw engine machine. Like a fixed version of Griselbrand only commander legal. Since the CMDR is 8CMC, ramp is a must. What great with ramp? Big spells. So thats how the game is won, casting big X spells that kill off the opponent or dish out a ton of creatures. Oh and Psychosis Crawler of course.
Great combo to lock down non-black players. Dreadhorde Invasion or Bitterblossom with Contamination and Infernal Darkness is a back up to pay life instead of creatures.
Glacial Chasm is really fun in here since it draws you cards!
