Aggro Deck with a flying subtheme built around Breena. Leans heavily into Breenas card draw ability and has little card advantage otherwise. Generally the deck tries to encourage combat between opponents, while discouraging attacks on us before finishing the game with Debt to the Deathless or Exsanguinate or just continued attacks.

Ideally there would be two attackers on turn 3 triggering Breena twice, so we would draw 2 cards and place 4 counters. To enable this there is lots of cheap creatures. Plenty of them are evasive in some way, like having flying, shadow or unblockable. Others like Cruel Sadist and Deftblade Elite essentially act as repeatable removal. Lone Rider   together with counters from Breena is enough to flip the card for a 6/6 with first strike, trample and lifelink. Aniok Bond-Kin gives all our creatures with +1/+1 counters first strike. The other outlast +1/+1 counter lords like Abzan Falconer were a consideration as well, but unfortunately they cost 3 mana and up.

This deck relies alot on the commander, if Breena gets removed often the deck is gonna have problems. To help prevent this there is the cards in the Protection category. For the most part those cards give either Hexproof or indestructible to one or more of our creatures.

This started as a upgrade to the Silverquill Precon, but that seems to lean more into the politcal angle, so this deck does not have not that many cards in common with the precon.

The cards in the sideboard have been replaced by other cards for, well, budget, reasons. If you have some suggestions I'd love to hear them, especially if they are budget cards.

Impressions after having played one game: Card advantage with Breena, the Demagogue was great for the first 5-6 turns, later on some it was lacking a bit. The creatures are a lot less scary without the counters when rebuilding after a board wipe. The Ozolith would help with that. Unfortunately i don't have that card yet. Players were using Breenas ability to draw some cards, which made our creatures grow quite big and quite fast during the first few turns. I don't think i missed a single land drop the entire 10+ turns, I didn't really flood either. Atleast when drawing 2-3 cards a turn.

In:

• Dusk / Dawn: Another board wipe doesn't hurt and the Dawn half should help with the late game card advantage.

• Nikara, Lair Scavenger: Some card draw throughout the game hopefully

• Indulging Patrician: With 2 counters from Breena, the Demagogue this triggers itself if it does damage. Also another flier for Sephara, Sky's Blade

Out:

• Plains: Increasing the avg. cmc. of the deck while cutting lands, a classic :)

• Cruel Celebrant: Indulging Patrician also does life drain stuff while being more on theme

• Vampire of the Dire Moon: Felt a little low impact in the later turns. As far a deathtouch goes, Mer-Ek Nightblade might be more interesting.
