Inspiration for the Deck

Brallin, Skyshark Rider   and Shabraz, the Skyshark - I thought I would not need to resort to this kind of playstyle. Unfortunately there's the beginning of a growing trend among my playgroup to have a random combo-kill out of nowhere. Now it's starting to become a race to determine who can Infect someone out early with Brokkos, Apex of Forever (kind of manageable, not sure if this is a problem or not). Or a Deathrender combo with Phyrexian Altar, no cards in hand, but Korvold, Fae-Cursed King as the commander. Or the increased prevalence of Thassa's Oracle and anything else.

Well I suppose I can skirt our no-infinite rule like the rest of them. The amount of damage I can deal is limited by the number of cards remaining in my library! It's not infinite (said in sarcastic voice)!

Part of my Halloween "Trick or Treat" series of decks. This one is obviously a TRICK.

The Combos

Commander + Blue draw aura of choice + Discard Outlet

Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout on Brallin, Skyshark Rider   means as soon as I discard (most activations are instant-speed), Brallin does damage to each opponent. I draw a card per opponent dealt damage - usually this means 3 cards per activation. Thus I can draw into a counterspell, or even combo-kill the table in response to removal against my stuff.

Commander + Blue draw aura of choice + 8 or more cards in hand + end of my turn

Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout on Brallin, Skyshark Rider   is the combo, but what happens if I don't draw a discard outlet?

Easy, just have 8+ cards in hand by the end of my turn!

Discard down to 7 cards, Commander deals damage, I draw more cards from the enchantment triggers, then another Cleanup Step happens per rule 514.3

• Discard more cards from hand size
• Put more triggers on the stack
• Renew the cycle of adding another Cleanup Step
