New to Standard? This deck is a good place to start.

This is a simple, straightforward deck that flops down big angels onto the table. It's on the opposite end of the spectrum from Ad Nauseam + Angel's Grace or making infinite mana with Krark-Clan Ironworks and Scrap Trawler. The main "combo" here is gaining 5 life from attacking with Lyra Dawnbringer and then throwing down a Resplendent Angel to make a token at the end of the turn.

So what makes the deck actually good? It's just a good mix of creatures, and the lifegain is a huge boost against the aggressive decks while also pairing well with Adanto Vanguard. Control decks with Wrath of God spells are the toughest matchup. That's when I bring in the 4 Banefire off the side and just play a waiting game so that I can eventually burn them out with an uncounterable fireball. History of Benalia can also be a tough card for control. Ixalan's Binding is great for dealing with some problem recursive threats in the format, such as Rekindling Phoenix and Arclight Phoenix. It also just gets lucky sometimes and bricks your opponent on cards if they have multiple copies in hand.

This is a competitive deck that plays like a kitchen table pile. I think that makes it a lot of fun, and I'm liking it so far.
