Blim's Cold War politics

Commander / EDH* BR (Rakdos)

Freakpanda

In Cold War both sides had nukes that could end each other if they fired them, which in response made it that neither side wanted to use them unless it was absolutely necessary. Because of this, going nuclear was not really an option. Thanks to Blim, we can use this tactic to our advantage!

Since Blim is such generous person, he lets other people hold these nukes such as Lich's Mastery and Nefarious Lich (also removing these nukes is advised since nukes are bad and people should not have them). Because of how these enchantments are worded, if the Blim player ever gets defeated in a 4 player game, the players holding these nukes also blow up, leaving the last remaining person as the victor! Because of this, it is ideal to kill the person who doesn't hold any of the nukes, as otherwise they might kill the Blim player to win. After there are only 3 players remaining things get interested as if now Blim player gets killed, then whoever was the active player loses with them! Consult this very helpful article for more information https://blogs.magicjudges.org/rulestips/2011/09/apnap-and-you/#:~:text=APNAP%20is%20an%20acronym%20that,can%20happen%20at%20any%20time.

Now, getting to these nukes can be quite difficult and if someone knows your deck, they might not want you to gift them to them. And as we know, refusing to take this generous gift is rather rude (it says so in Blim's rules text as well!) But worry not, as we have other gifts to give as well to make sure these gifts are delivered to those who deserve them!

Someone playing spellslinger deck with no to little creatures? Give them a Blood Funnel or Experimental Frenzy if they are not running red.

Someone playing tokens? Give them Cinder Giant or Wretched Anurid

Someone doing big stompy green stuff? Not anymore with Grid Monitor or Steel Golem

(PS. I tried my hardest to include the hyperlink for the article, but it would not simply work for some reason)
