From an old standard format competition deck, based around the Blazing Spectre (Invasion block) to a new kitchentable magic deck.

With the help and suggestions offered here, this turned out to be a pretty well constructed deck.

The main theme, sticking with the Blazing Spectre, is fast damage and discard. I guess this should fit in the aggro deck category.

I have not found a chance to play the deck yet, but going through the mana curve, and the one-drops and two-drops, most of the choices in this deck seem viable enough to make for a nice, fast paced game.

The deck is weak on the defense, even with the sideboard cards. Sideboard adds some land
