Perhaps use Snow-Covered Swamp to make Extraplanar Lens one sided?

Kinda feel like Torment of Hailfire belongs in here. Also, who can forget Tainted Strike ; it fits flavorfully and adds to the infect arsenal. That's really all I got, it seems like a well thought out list.

How exactly do you deal with the "draw" part of the deck? Since going infinite sacrificing stuff to Yawgmoth will make you draw your whole deck and then lose by deck over if you don't kill everyone by then...

I thought about Kozilek, Butcher of Truth + Zombie Infestation so you could discard your entire deck and reshuffle to go infinite while making more tokens.

Several good Commanders coming out of Modern Horizons. Yawgmoth would slot perfectly into a Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons deck.

I like what you've done here!

Awesome stuff! I've been waiting for Yawgmoth since I started playing. I'm curious as to how your undying combo works though. Tokens with undying don't return to the battlefield, and any creature that does return with undying can only do so once.

+1/+1 counters and -1/-1 counters cancel each other out. So if you have 2 undying creatures, you sac one to put a -1/-1 counter on the other, Undying triggers and revives it with a +1/+1. Sac the other creature, put the counter on the other, the two counters cancel out and they both get removed from it, and then Undying triggers and the one you sacced get revived. Repeat ad infinitum.

Yawgmoth + Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Ichor Rats = draw game YAY!

OMG I never knew the counters cancel each other. Time to revise my decks lol

Have you considered running Cabal Stronghold and trying to track down a Deserted Temple for Coffers and Nykthos? If you play in a group of 4 or more people then Exsanguinate , Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Kokusho, the Evening Star are monoblack staples that will help you rip through your deck with Yawgmoth's ability. Sidisi, Undead Vizier is also pretty solid in a token build and is cheaper than Rune-Scarred Demon .

Mj3913: I wanted to avoid the standard Torment of Hailfire wins here, since it's not a big-mana deck and since the card's effect doesn't do me much good. Tainted Strike is now in :) and while I probably should swap to Snow-Covered Swamp s, I'm not too concerned TBH - other changes take precedence XD Thanks for the comment! If you like it I always appreciate +1s ;)

Renanbear: I do like that idea XD I haven't had major issues with drawing out yet (mostly because Zulaport Cutthroat etc usually win before I run out of cards), but I'll consider making that change eventually!

bushido_man96: Oh, trust me. He's the new MVP of my Hapatra deck, he's RIDICULOUS there!!! I'm so excited. He's also great in my Teysa Superfriends list. I'm buying three copies XD

Stalkton: Yeah, Serefin99 covered it :) The loop requires an undying creature plus any way to net one creature per "cycle": Genesis Chamber , Pawn of Ulamog , a second undying creature, et cetera. It's a fun loop! XD

Rambolicious_0: Hehe. Or get the ETB 9 times, then proliferate once. BOOM, HEADSHOT.

Perfect_Phyrexia: I like the username, seems fitting XD I'm really not a fan of Cabal Stronghold (you need 5 basic swamps before it is positive, and there's no real way to cheat on it), and while Deserted Temple is cute I'm not sure it's worth running just for that interaction. You're completely right that I should run some more life draining effects such as Coco Puffs, and I'll try to fit those in (as always, slots are tight). I'd rather run Diabolic Intent before Sidisi, Undead Vizier , though.

Thank you everyone for your comments! :D I'm trying to find space for all of these suggestions, so if you see anything worth cutting I'd love to hear it.

Why not Archfiend of Ifnir . This is basically a mass removal on a stick. When you activate the proliferate ability all opponents creatures get 2 -1/-1 counters.

Here are my thoughts. I’d cut Rite of Belzenlok and Dictate of Erebos if you’re still looking for more room. I’ve never been a big fan of sagas personally. This only gives you three bodies to sac and isn’t abusable like the creatures you can revive. Not only that but you run the risk of speeding up its clock when you proliferate with Yawgmoth. You already have Grave Pact, and I understand wanting to double that ability, but with the control package you’re running I think you’ll do fine with just the one.

Daedalus19876 says... #13

vincilios: I was considering it actually! I do have an extra foil copy now, since he came out of Hapatra (ironically enough, to make room for Yawgmoth in the 99).

Abzkaban: Rite of Belzenlok gives me 5 bodies, two of which are immediate - I'm generally pretty happy with it, and it gets BETTER if I speed up the clock with Yawgmoth's proliferate. Dictate of Erebos is so good though, especially EOT...

Haeffound says... #14

You cannot run Crypt Ghast , your commander is Black only. This card have a white mana on it so it cannot be played...

The rest of the deck, as all theses new black deck, kudos!

Abzkaban says... #15

Daedalus19876

Oh yeah I misread it. 5 bodies is rather good for what it does. I still stand by cutting Dictate, though. How often do you leave yourself with 5 mana to play it EOT?

Haeffound

Crypt Ghast is legal. Symbols in reminder text don't count toward a card's color identity. It's a black card.

rotkiv4219 says... #16

Haeffound You can run extort guys, the white mana is only part of the rule reminder, not the actual card.

Not_a_Goat says... #17

Mindslicer seems like a shoo-in for this deck, death trigger with Yawgmoth resolves before the draw trigger resolves, leaving you as the only one with a card in hand

June 2, 2019 2:42 a.m.

Haeffound says... #18

If I am referring to the officials rules, it is stated: A card's color identity can come from any part of that card, including its casting cost and any mana symbols in its text. Every card in your Commander deck must only use mana symbols that also appear on your commander. Colorless cards are allowed as well. (from WotC official Commander page)

So, no, this card is not legal officially.

June 2, 2019 3:05 a.m.

Not_a_Goat says... #19

Extort is a special case. The Orzhov symbol is within the reminder text, so it is not TECHNICALLY a part of the card in the same way that it would be for another triggered ability. It is only on the card because Extort can only be paid for with white or black mana.

Coward_Token says... #20

Lightning Coils ? Extra bodies and the charge counters can be proliferated. Maybe too slow to be competitive in your meta though. (And the now-or-never exile clause can be a bit awkward.)

You are wrong Haeffound See this [Link] (http://mtgcommander.net/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=15321)

rotkiv4219 says... #22

Also see rule: 903.4b Reminder text is ignored when determining a card’s color identity. See rule 207.2.

If not it would be really arbitrary if a card like Trinisphere where black, as they could have picked any color for the reminder text. Or the masterpiece version, Trinisphere having a different color identity than the darksteel one,

Haeffound: Links were given above, but you are mistaken. Still, easy misunderstanding to have!

Coward_Token: Interesting idea! Lemme think on it, I do love that kind of dual synergy...

Abzkaban: Honestly, I may end up cutting Dictate like you said (AND Grave Pact . It should be so good, and yet... I just almost never have trouble controlling the board, haha. It's winmore in this deck.

Not_a_Goat: Shit, you're right, that's terrifying. That's getting slammed in there, thank you!!

June 2, 2019 11:44 a.m.

Abzkaban says... #24

Daedalus19876

Oh man...lol I’m not sure if I could cut both of them. I like having at least one of them way too much. But if it truly is winmore, then be merciless. Ditch ‘em and don’t look back.

Raidus says... #25

I'd recommend playing around with a copy of Grave Betrayal. It'd fit in easily with the -1/1 spam from the deck, and it gives an excellent way to steal any highly desirable creatures... By just stealing all of them. :D Even if you're not the one who kills it, it still becomes yours, making it even more powerful if people don't notice or forget that it was played.
