It's finally here folks, a Bant landfall commander! Choco, Seeker of Paradise is here to play lands and dethrone Derevi, Empyrial Tactician as the reigning Bird typal commander. And apparently, I love decks that try to do too many things at once! Here we want to balance Landfall, Birds, and the ever important and beautiful flightless land birds AKA Chocobos. Bloomburrow birds offer some small synergy for their Final Fantasy Friends so let's see what we can Choco-build!

First iteration is a blend of Birds and Landfall triggers, so I'm experimenting with Maskwood Nexus, Leyline of Transformation, and Arcane Adaptation to make all of our creatures birds, and a few tutors to fetch them for us. Normally, this mechanic wouldn't feel worth the effort considering how few bird payoffs we have but: 1. Choco's trigger alone is enough to justify their inclusion and 2. I've included cards like Scute Swarm, Felidar Retreat, Chocobo Racetrack, Greensleeves, Maro-Sorcerer, and Springheart Nantuko that will make us a variety of tokens for every landfall trigger, and with the pieces mentioned above all of our tokens become birds as well. There's also Emeria Angel, the MVP who makes us actual birds.

We also have Amulet of Vigor and Tiller Engine to make the lands we pull with Choco enter untapped, and Nature's Will and Derevi, Empyrial Tactician will function similarly. With any of these four pieces out the lands Choco fetches us essentially enter untapped, allowing for some huge ramp.

Some fun bird typal pieces are Soulcatchers' Aerie, Murmuration, Black Chocobo  , and card:Kastral the Wind Crested. Bird support pieces are, as of now, fairly limited.
