Kaalia is and always will be my favorite commander and one of my favorite cards. There's just nothing cooler to me than Kaalia calling upon angels, demons, AND dragons just to get revenge. Here's my take on her; This deck performs really well in my meta.

Notable Exclusions

• Chancellor of the Annex - This card was just really underwhelming for me. Even when it started in my hand people never really cared about playing around it and it's just a really poor target for Kaalia to cheat in.

• Reaper from the Abyss - It was cool until it started killing my creatures too.

• Tariel, Reckoner of Souls - I really wanted to be able to make this card work but it's just SO slow. Whenever it was out there were rarely any good targets for it to grab.

• Platinum Angel - This card is just a little overrated for me. If you're in a position where you're losing the game and this is the only thing that's keeping it from happening, the game is probably over. Not only that but only 4 power? Not worth it.

• Karmic Guide - I was just really never able to make this combo work and it felt too clunky.

• Master of Cruelties - Always came in hot and killed someone, but not really optimized for a 4 man. Turns out when you kill someone on turn 3-4, the rest of the pod usually targets you out. Also got sort of boring?

Notable Inclusions

-Lord of the Void - I am in love with this card. It's just too satisfying whenever you successfully cheat it out.

-Rest in Peace - What an all-star. Maybe I'm tired of getting hosed by Tasigur and Marchesa decks.

-Steelshaper's Gift - This card is so underrated! 3 drop Lightning Greaves or 4 drop sword whenever I need it? Tried and true, it's always done well for me.

-Teferi's Protection - Oh. You wanted to kill me before I can kill you? You wanted to exile my entire board? Cute.
