Sideboard

My own take on BG Delve, with a fancy way to cast Gurmag Angler on turn 2. I haven't been able to test it very much, but any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I built this deck largely based on seeing other very similar lists online and putting all of those together. The deck is a straightforward beater deck that focus on the using delve to play threats that are hard to answer. Creatures such as Putrid Leech and Nimble Mongoose are run as ways to still apply pressure if everything else in the deck isn't quite working as intended. Blood Pet is run as a way to get out turn a turn 2 Gurmag Angler in a perfect scenario. By playing a Swamp into Blood Pet on turn 1, followed by a Forest and Commune with the Gods or Grisly Salvage grabbing a Gurmag Angler from the top 5. This will leave you with 5 cards in your graveyard, and by sacrificing Blood Pet, you put the 6th card you need into your graveyard, and will have the to pay for Gurmag Angler as you exile your whole graveyard to pay the . Finally, my other pet card is Dirge of Dread, which is run as a way to both draw cards, and potentially get past blockers with creatures such as Gurmag Angler or Putrid Leech which lack evasion. The sideboard is pretty straightforward: - Diabolic Edict against decks like bogles or decks predominately running black creatures that can't be hit byGhastly Demise. - Duress against decks with few important creatures. - Gnaw to the Bone against faster decks. - Natural State for general artifact and enchantment hate. - Nausea for small go wide strategies and elves. - Ghastly Demise if extra removal is needed.
