Best value in town, Meren EDH

Commander / EDH*

Wickked

Maybeboard

My first EDH deck that I put together in paper form. After battling meren online the last couple of months with my Marchesa deck, that I will add to tappedout shortly. I decided she was a worthy commander to lead my army. The basic strategy is to ramp into meren, and then start dropping creatures that tend to bring value to the table one way or another. I'm a very heavy creature deck for now due to meren only recurring creatures. My playgroup consists of Erebos/ Prosh/ Ezuri/ Zurgo/ Jelyva/ Scion of Ur dragon/Animar/ Sliver Overlord/ Olivia. A couple other decks show up from time to time. This deck has performed very well so far. I tried to make it more aggressive then most of the other meren decks that I've seen online. Thinking that playing cards that people want to take care of will make them die or i'll gain a huge advantage. A lot of the decks go for less value cards and more interactivity with their commander. Which makes sense but meren is such a big target for removal herself that she tends to die alot, so be prepared to fight without your commander. Some of the all stars so far have been Pathbreaker Ibex, Sakura Tribe elder, birthing pod, and overseer of the damned. Please leave your opinion, good or bad, all comments are welcome and will be greatly appreciated.

A friend of mine has decided to sell a bunch of cards that he owns and gave me a nice discount on some staples. I've raised the cmc even more with these changes. It's starting to get a bit ridiculous honestly and I'm prolly going to include Wood Elves and Farhaven Elf back in to help with this.

-1 Whisperwood Elemental +1Wurmcoil Engine Whisperwood was always good to bring fodder to the board. It was also a good to have on board when the board wipes were coming. But I'm always experimenting and its time has come to be cut for now. Wurmcoil is a very powerful creature that is a true force on any battlefield.

-1 Polukranos, World Eater +1 Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger Polukranos was great at fighting off early agro decks. But his monstrous cost was a bit high. Vorinclex is another complete house of a card that I've been waiting to get my hands on. He does put a target on my head when he hits the ground but honestly my deck already does this.

-1Golgari Signet +1Sword of Feast and Famine SIgnet really shoulda been cut a long time ago for a creature ramp card. Feast and Famine is one of the most powerful equipments printed which brings unreal value
