Use Beledros to untap your lands and lower your life total. Since it's a once per turn, you can use it on every opponents turn to cast your instants and pay for life swap effects. Being able to lower your life total and get mana on each turn to pay for life swaps is much better than running aristocrats matter or creatures matter cards. We are running less non land ramp to maximize Beledros untap ability.

The best spells in the deck are the pay X life to then go to 1 life and get enough mana to cast a life swap card like profane transfusion or soul conduit. They are also searchable by tutors like spoils of the vault or diabolic intent.
