When I first saw Chevill as a commander, I thought he would be super fun. I love how is ability harkens Mathas, which is a pretty fun deck to play with curses. Some may say that Chevill is just a worse Mathas, but I disagree. The goal of a Mathas deck is to get your opponents to attack each other so you can sneak in a win. Chevill, however, is COMPLETELY different! The goal of a Chevill deck (or at least my idea of it) is to put bounty counters on weaker creatures of an opponent, then sacrifice your OWN creatures so that your opponents have to decide if they want to sacrifice their big creatures or their weaker ones and give you value. So, while the two cards may have a similar ability, they are TOTALLY different.

For my deck, the goal is exactly what I just said above, sacrificing creatures for value and to destroy your opponents' board state! However, a good deck wouldn't go without a few alternate win conditions. I am running two infinite combos in the deck. One of Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank and the other is Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and Walking Ballista. The first combo is great in this deck because it allows me to do infinite damage and infinite mill on a target opponent, taking them out of the game one by one! The second combo is even better in this deck! By using Mikaeus and Ballista, I can ping all of my opponents down in one turn by recurring Ballista with Mikaeus' undying ability! (for this combo I can use Protean Hulk to tutor BOTH cards which is awesome)

Mikaeus is also super useful because when I sacrifice my creatures (that are non-human) I can get them back with counters! So if my opponents have some form of graveyard hate, I can use Mikaeus to get creatures back long enough to sac them again to destroy my opponents' creatures or find a solution to any problem. It also means that while I'm forcing enemies to sacrifice their own creatures, my board is still large and healthy! Because of this, Mikaeus is a HUGE player in my deck.

Lastly, any deck like this would be nothing without TONS of sac outlets (and value sac outlets) and tutors. Because of that, I have cards like Phyrexian Tower and Viscera Seer to be able to sacrifice my creatures any time I want to get some value. I also have cards like Grave Pact so that when I lose creatures, so do my opponents! The only difference is that I can get them back (queue evil laughter). I also have cards like Sidisi, Protean Hulk, and Diabolic Intent so that I can search up any creature I want while also sacrificing creatures so I'm getting my own creatures into my graveyard to use for later, while my opponents are left with a graveyard they can't use!
