Banzai Bloodsuckers! (An EDH Edgar Markov Deck)

Commander / EDH RBW (Mardu) Sacrifice Tokens Vampires

Holagod

This Vampire deck focuses on the commander, Edgar Markov, and abusing his eminence mechanic. It specializes in going wide, slapping huge amounts of vampires onto the table, and overwhelming your opponents.

This deck would be stronger in a mostly casual format, as it has a lack of an efficient mana-base which I wish to upgrade. This deck does take advantage of Edgar's eminence by playing many low CMC vampires, meaning when they come out you get more for your money. Edgar himself is not necessary to be on your board to win the game, sometimes you can just keep him in the command zone the whole time!

The deck is created to deal with the enemy of any tribal decks, board wipes, by utilizing cards such as Teferi's Protection and Kindred Boon to protect your team, but even if the board wipe gets through you still can ramp back up by milking that eminence trigger. Drana, the Last Bloodchief can also help!

Additionally to the go-wide strategy, the deck focuses on sending in your tokens for fodder to punish your opponents or buff your field. With cards like Butcher of Malakir, Cordial Vampire, Elenda, the Dusk Rose, Pawn of Ulamog, Blood Artist, and Vampire Socialite your opponents will think twice on blocking you, in fears of your horde becoming even stronger, or themselves getting weakened.

Also, whoever said we can't wreak some havoc too? With cards like Captivating Vampire, Dark Impostor, and Olivia Voldaren, you can steal your opponent's commanders and creatures, or just take their abilities and run with it. Going up against a merfolk or sliver deck with lord abilities galore? Use New Blood to steal your opponent's commander, and make their abilities affect only vampires. Imagine vampires with cascade! AHAHAHAHAHA! (Thanks First Sliver!).

Finally, the deck can also abuse lifelink with cards like Serra Ascendant, Blood Tribute, Consuming Vapors, and other cards with extortion to gain an absurd amount of life, and deal damage to your opponents with Sanguine Bond. And for the late game, use the planeswalker Sorin, Grim Nemesis to make tons of vampire tokens.

Overall, by focusing on a Vampire synergy, the deck allows for a multitude of evil strategies that will send your opponents to the grave fast!

Comments, suggestions, criticisms, and ratings are all welcome! Any addition should add up to around $50-$75.

Dedicated to Evan, who gave this deck to me for $50! Deal of the century!
