WOOHOO!

THANK YOU GUYS!

Reading over this, I really like the idea. Course, it'd have a problem against the deck I'm currently building, Blasphemous Act + Boros Reckoner , simply because your Kor Firewalker will have a hard time catching up with the 26 damage I can shell out reasonably consistently by turn 5. But as it's not a common archetype in pretty much anywhere, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

riomhaire That's what Leyline of Sanctity and Counters are for!

Dr_Jay I agree. Leyline deals with every one of my creatures except Stuffy Doll, and counters are an important part of stopping my main combo. Though once I've fed you spirits and stuff with Forbidden Orchard and am casting the Act for [R], I can just recast it after Remand or pay for the Mana Leak.

"I can goldfish a turn five win, pay attention to me. I'm not going to contribute anything to the discussion." ~riomhaire.

Your deck is very color intensive. I think going up to 6 dorks might be needed.

The land base is pretty tight but you can probably squeeze in some more utility. I feel that whenever someone is running Knight of the Reliquarythey should squeeze in as much utility in the land base as possible.

Moorland Haunt Make more swordbearers if the game goes long.

Gavony Township Dorks become big dudes.

I like Mark of Asylum in my sideboards. It blanks all burn based removal.

If you really like the Meddling Mage effect you might want to switch to Nevermore it's a bit harder for people to hit with removal.

You also have access to Detention Sphere as a possible sideboard card if tokens are giving you hell.

Blackwind36 It is intensive, but I really do have 8 dorks. I'm, tbh, counting LCobra as a dork.

I'll take all your other considerations into, well, consideration. Thanks for the comment (and +1)!

Also, he counted EVERYTHING as a suggestion. Including his combo pieces.

This list has way too many shock lands. You could easily cut 3 Temple Garden a Hallowed Fountain and a Breeding Pool along with a Forest and a Plains for 3 Razorverge Thicket and 3 of some combination of Stirring Wildwood, Gavony Township, Moorland Haunt, Ghost Quarter and Tectonic Edge. You probably want an least 1 LD land with knights in your deck. This mana base will give you more to do if your flooded and will deal you significantly less damage, which is relevant in a format where burn is tier 1

Sick deck bro I'm halfway through putting it together myself. I saw the weekly deck tech and I'm going to finally stop spectating modern and dive into the play field so thanks for being my first?(Thats not weird is it? its probably weird).

I think your sideboard could be improved with these cards:

Kataki, War's Wage -> Hurkyl's Recall - Kataki, War's Wage while very taxing is never actually going to deal with problematic artifacts the way you need it to. Hurkyl's Recall offers you some instant speed temporary artifact bouncing that will set any affinity deck back multiple turns. when sideboarding I'd pull out either a Path to Exile or a Remand for this guy.

Worship -> Torpor Orb worship being so costly and so circumvent-able makes it a really awkward sideboard choice that doesnt help you vs. burn or really fast aggro decks for long and hey thats what the leylines are for. Torpor Orb on the other hand is a powerful artifact that turns off Splinter Twin combo as well as Siege Rhino plus those fancy new Value chord decks and snapcaster lists. When sideboarding torpor orb it will come down heavily to just how useful Mirran Crusader,Knight of the Reliquary or Qasali Pridemage in the matchup.

Meddling Mage,Kor Firewalker -> 2x Spellskite I'm not quite sure what we're trying to stop with something as often flimsy as a Meddling Mage but I'm near positive Spellskite stops it better! Spellskite is the mac daddy sideboard king being easily supplemented where ever you need him he shits on burn, twin, low discard jund decks, and infect. you often wont even need to activate his ability as your opponent wouldnt dare play into him unless absolutely necessary. This guy easily replaces Qasali Pridemage , Knight of the Reliquary or Mirran Crusader.

I look forward to playing with your list and improving it with you!

Birds of Paradise & Sphinx's Revelation is no longer in the deck so you need to update your deck description. Why don't you run any buddy/check lands? A Sunpetal Grove is not fetchable, but Knight of the Reliquary can find it. Overall cut a few shocklands.

It's a fun deck to play and currently have it sleeved up (minus 1 Lotus Cobra, but have an ooze in its place. I might be adding another Steelshaper's Gift to make sure I have a sword to play.
