Rude Awakening is fun, that is, until the boardwipes come in and you're left with nothing.

Nice! Cool deck I like that it’s different than most builds. Any upgrades? Land base would gae’s cradle or the fetch lands like wooded foothills etc make sense?

My current Eldrazi deck resides in izzet, but this is how I would enjoy playing them in green!

ever consider putting a From Beyond in this, for even more mana or bodies plus a nice Eldrazi tutor!

Nice deck. Greater Good could be useful for some big card draw.

My thoughts are your larger creatures like Darksteel just clog up your deck and you are better off with cards like Elvish Visionary, Generous Patron, and Voice of Many. You can set your board up while accelerating to the finish line. Additionally, you can squeeze even more value out of them with Temur and Cloudstone Curio combined with your Great Henge and Guardian Project, maybe Glimpse of Nature.

Romer Half of your lands should be swapped for snow-covered for field of the dead

Yavimaya Hollow > Temple of False

Beast Within > Mana dork > Lotus petal

Scapeshift - Field of the dead and other land ETB synergy + Tutor

Nylea's Intervention - Another land tutor to help you get eye of ugin or any utility land you may need

Thanks Tim02Smith! If money weren't a concern, I'd definitely add all the fetch lands that can grab Forests as well as: Yavimaya Hollow, Natural Order and probably a Deserted Temple. Gaea's Cradle could go in here, but this deck often plays out with fewer but more powerful creatures, rather than going wide so it's not as valuable here as in other decks.

DoomNoodle: I checked out your Izzet artifact-Eldrazi deck and it looks fun! I might have an Eldrazi problem because I also built a 5-colour Eldrazi deck, too. I've tried From Beyond in both of my Eldrazi-themed decks and took it out of both - it just seemed too slow. Both decks are more focused on the bigger Eldrazi so having one little spawn or scion each turn wasn't as quick or impactful as I wanted.

mschaefer241: Thank you! I tried Greater Good years ago but never liked having to sacrifice the big creature to do it (though it was nice in response to someone wiping the board to removing my creature). A lot of the newer green cards are pretty great for card draw so I don't even miss Greater Good. Things like Beast Whisperer, Guardian Project, Return of the Wildspeaker, The Great Henge and Tireless Tracker.

Swift2210: I can definitely see how well that would work together but I think this deck is working more on a 'go tall' strategy where it quickly ramps into the big monster Eldrazi. I think the Elvish Visionary, Generous Patron and Cloudstone Curio package might be better suited in a deck that wants to reliably go wide with many creatures, which this deck doesn't aim to do.

Profet93:

  • I 100% agree about swapping half my Forests for snow Forests. A recent Command Zone or Tolarian Community College vid has had this on my mind for the past week.
  • You're totally right about Yavimaya Hollow and if I owned one it would be in this deck. It's just so expensive to pick up now a days. Added to the Maybeboard and someday I might pick one up.
  • Beast Within is definitely very good. I do have Force of Vigor and Song of the Dryads already but the more removal, the better. I suppose I could cut Lotus Petal, it's more for explosive early turns but it's not that impactful when drawn later in the game.
  • Scapeshift and Nylea's Intervention definitely work well with the land ETB synergy, it's just tough to make cuts at this point. Might upgrade Crop Rotation to one of these to be able to grab more than one land.

Other potential cuts for Nylea's and/or Scapeshift include (from most likely to cut to least)...

Planar Bridge - Seems a bit winmore? If you have the mana, you can get permanents into play. But most eldrazi have cast triggers which aren't activated this way.

Scroll Rack - Really good with fetches, otherwise, it doesn't draw you cards, just digs you deeper.

Crop Rotation - Personally, I don't like rotation. Seen it get countered too many times, respond to library searching, anti-sac effects although thats my meta. Despite that, I think it's a better card than the above 2.

What are your thoughts on adding Mystic Forge? Its not 100% for this deck, but it allows the combo of Ugin Ineffable + Top + Forge. Activate top to draw a card, then placing it on the deck. Cast top from Forge, no cost to cast due to Ugin. Rinse and repeat to draw your deck. Forge can be nice with courser/oracle effects too, to help you dig a little deeper.

Glad to see some of my suggestions made the cut. Be sure to let us know how your games turn out as a result of your update :)

Have you ever thought about adding the Tron lands into this to make a little easier to cast the Titans ?

What is the purpose of Forsaken Monument? There is no visible combo here unless I'm missing something. Why not add back in harmonize or add another more impactful card?

If it's purpose is for extra mana from colorless lands, I would believe it's effect is not worth the cost.

Zombiemaster247: Interesting, I hadn't thought of them because individually they're not that great and getting all 3 is challenging in a singleton format. And yet... I do have a few ways to tutor up multiple lands now. I'll keep it in mind, might be a good add in the future.

Profet93:

  • Forsaken Monument is there to add an extra to a quarter of my mana sources and as a bonus, lets me gain life from a quarter of my spells. I originally had Caged Sun but realized I had so few green mana sources that it wasn't all that helpful. I suppose I could go back to Mana Reflection or even Selvala, Heart of the Wilds instead.
  • Mystic Forge I'm less into for this particular deck. I do run it in a colourless deck and in an artifact deck but here, it feels like it would work with fewer cards than Forsaken Monument does. And I don't love adding it just for that one combo with Ugin, the Ineffable
