Shadows Over Innistrad —April 20, 2016

Adding a few fun new cards from SOI:

Seasons Past replaces Creeping Renaissance. I'm pretty confident Seasons Past is going to give be better options when choosing what to return from my graveyard.

Ulvenwald Hydra replaces Thunderfoot Baloth. Power/toughness based on number of lands? Love it. Lets me tutor any utility land I want when it enters the battlefield? Perfect. I didn't love how conditional Thunderfoot was and it never really turned the tide of games for me.

Tireless Tracker replaces Praetor's Counsel. I've used Praetor's Counsel once and it was a total win-more situation. Just doesn't seem all that valuable in most games. I'm excited to try out Tireless Tracker as an appropriate card draw engine for Azusa. Certainly I'll have a great deal of landfall triggers and I like that the Clue artifacts can be sacrificed any time I choose. End of an opponent's turn, sac all my Clues for cards - much better than having to pay the mana during my main phase using something like Seer's Sundial.

Sylvan Scrying replaces Expedition Map since it's just better. A nod to the Land Seeking Woman for reminding me of that.

Scour from Existence replaces Terastodon. I never liked giving my opponents free chump blockers with Terastodon and Forkbeard highlighted the benefits of having more colorless removal, in case of sudden Iona, Shield of Emeria and the like.

Rude Awakening is fun, that is, until the boardwipes come in and you're left with nothing.
