COMBOS:

Animal Boneyard / Circle of Despair / Altar of Bone + Ashen Rider/Angel of Despair - Excellent removal while also gaining side effects from one of the sac spells.

Elvish Piper + Ashen Rider/Angel of Despair - For one mana, put a 5/5 with flying on the field and destroy a permanent? YES!

Artisan of Kozilek/Beacon of Unrest/Debtors' Knell + Ashen Rider/Angel of Despair - Allows you to take one of your sacked creatures and re-use it! Then you sac it again, of course.

OTHER IMPORTANT CARDS:

Lurking Predators - Free scrying as well as the potential to put Ashen Rider or Angel of Despair on for free.

Font of Fertility , Perigrination, and Birds of Paradise - Mana ramp for your 7, 8, and 9-cost creatures that don't get put on for free.

Font of Return - You'll be losing a lot of creatures with this deck, and while there are some ways to get them back, this card can really help you out.
